Sveti Vlas (Saint Vlas) is a picturesque town located at the base of the gentle slopes of the Balkan Mountain Range (Stara Planina) where the mountains spill into the Black Sea. It is just 5 Kilometres across a delightful bay from Nessebar, formed from the Island of Nessebar and Sunny Beach. Sveti Vlas is the quieter of the two resorts of Sunny Beach and Sveti Vlas, yet it is close enough to Sunny Beach to benefit from its restaurants, shops, nightlife and other facilities. There are many shops and restaurants around the main square in Sveti Vlas which is only a 10 minute walk away. New shops and restaurants are currently being built at the newly built marina and adjacent beach which are only 100 metres away from Residence Chateau Nessebar. Local bus and minibus services regularly go into Sunny Beach and Nessebar and a passenger boat service is now available to take people from the marina across the bay to the ancient town of Nessebar.
