There are some wonderful places to eat in Bulgaria with somewhere to suit every taste.
A mehana is a traditional restaurant offering Bulgarian Cuisine and can often put a folk show on with Bulgarian dancing. Many restaurants have live bands on which can provide great entertainment or you can just sit and relax in one of the quieter restaurants and watch the world go by.

Some restaurants that can be recommended for good service and food in and around Sunny Beach are:

Filipos Restaurant at Sunny BeachCondor located on the main road in Sunny Beach a few minutes walk from the central area is extremely popular with Bulgarians and tourists. It is open all year round but expect to queue for a table in the summer months.
On the beachfront Caribby has a lovely atmosphere with some tables overlooking the sea. It has live music on every night and also has traditional dancing where you can join in if you like.
The 'Faro' which is located accross the main road from the 'Condor' restaurant serves a variety of dishes and all reasonably priced. The restaurant can easily be found as it looks like a lighthouse and once inside the ambience is very nice.

If you prefer International Cuisine try the Taj Mahal Indian restaurant at the Hotel Pirin, the China Wok on the main road opposite the Victoria Palace, the Castle Italian restaurant between the Chaika and Victoria Hotels, Mamacitas Mexican restaurant near the Kuban Hotel, the Makalali African restaurant and bar behind the Globus Hotel and the Habana Cuban restaurant in front of the Globus Hotel. If it's a great steak you fancy then why not try Freinds Steakhouse located in the Condor Hotel and adjacent to the Victoria Palace Hotel.

For Traditional Bulgarian cuisine and dancing try the Windmill restaurant near the Sunset Hotel, Juzhni Noshti (Southern Nights) which receives excellent reviews for it's entertainment and food alike is on the main road leading out to St Vlas just after the Helena hotel and before Green Fort.
If you simply fancy a drink there are lots of bars in and around Sunny Beach. Choose from Karaoke bars, Cocktail bars, Disco bars, Beach bars, Erotic bars or if you're feeling homesick a few English bars - in particular the Market Inn which is run by Bobby & Karen from Nottingham. For great entertainment The Maximus Male Dance Group (now relaunched as 'Boys to the Max') put on a floor show in many of the bars around Sunny Beach and The Select Bar in particular is good, but beware you may end up joining in if you get too close.

If you like dancing the night away there are quite a few nightclubs in Sunny Beach which stay open all night. Some good ones to try are Club Lazur, Club Mania , Disco Orange , Iceberg, Cacao Beach and Multiplace.

Dionis Restaurant at NesseburIn the ancient town of Nessebur (sometimes spelt Nessebar) restaurants are dotted all around the harbour where you can enjoy gorgeous fish dishes caught by the local fisherman while watching the beautiful sunsets over the sea. A few popular places where you can enjoy good food and service are Dionis, Aquagrill, Neptun, Zornitsa and Vega.

In Sveti Vlas (St Vlas) the Brasilia and the Central restaurants have great views over the bay. The Monastira serves traiditional Bulgarian meals and the Miami Hotel is also popular.

In Kosharitza a great place to eat is Hunters Lodge which is a traditional tavern specialising in Bulgarian cuisine at reasonable prices. Dancers then give a white corsage to each lady and re-enact a Bulgarian wedding where you can also join in the celebrations. The show then finishes with the women walking across hot coals.
