There are a variety of interesting things to see and do in Bulgaria. Here is just a small selection from the Sunny Beach Area. The historical town of Sozopol with shopping is 25 leva or include a boat cruise down the Ropotamo River for 45 leva.

The Blue Mountains in Sliven which you can either walk up or take the chairlift and the traditional village of Zhervana is only a couple of hours away for 60 leva.

The Valley of Roses in the Sredna Gora Mountain Range with spectacular blooms in May and June each year and there are festivals in nearby towns, the rose oil is used all over the world for 65 leva.

The Bachkovo Monastery near Plovdiv is Bulgaria’s second largest monastery and is still used by local pilgrims it’s about 3 hours away and including lunch and entrance fees is 75 leva.

A two day trip to the beautiful Veliko Turnovo with it’s medieval churches and stunning architecture in the old town including entrance fees, full board and a 3 star hotel is 160 leva.

A two day trip to the Rila Monastery near Sofia the most famous and visited monastery including entrance fees, full board and a 3 star hotel is 160 leva.
